Welcome to Ramgarhia HC Derby
HISTORY OF THE CLUB
Ramgarhia Hockey Club Derby, was founded in the early 1980's by a group of friends who had a keen background of the game and wished to help the community to develop the sport. The team originated from 'Derby Indians' who folded in the late 1970's, most of the players still wanted to continue playing, so formed a new club, Ramgarhia Hockey Club Derby. Sponsorship was required and came from Ramgarhia Sabha Sikh Temple, who became our main sponsors.
RHC Derby currently have two Senior teams, 1st Team which plays in the BodyKraft East Midlands Division 1 League, and our Second Team entered into the BodyKraft East Midlands Division 2 Seconds league, however we are looking to expand and by doing so, it has successfully been running a Junior side since 2001. This Junior side is in its infancy and will mature once these kids are a lot older and physically capable, and once the Older Senior players step down from the First Team, so there will be a mixture of Youth and experience to our Second Team.
OUR MISSION
Our overall aim is to establish ourselves playing in the highest possible league and maintaining the standards set by training and developing more youngsters to breakthrough RHC Derby and do more for the community.
